COVID-19 Vaccine Scheduling Partnership

From March 16th through May 1, 2021, The National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Prince George's Maryland Chapter,(NC100BW-PGC) partnered with Central Baptist Church of Camp Springs, Maryland (Pastor Lincoln M. Burruss, Jr.),  Safeway, Walgreens and Alberton’s Pharmacy to schedule COVID-19 Vaccine appointments for over 2,000  Prince George's County, Washington DC and Virginia residents .

Central Baptist Church served as the designated site to administer the vaccine. We are so grateful to Pastor Burruss for his wisdom to include the Coalition in this endeavor.

NC100BW-PGC COVID-19 Vaccine Partnership Highlights:

  • Over 2,000 Prince George’s County, Washington, DC and Virginia residents were scheduled for the first and second Pfizer vaccine

  • Eighteen Coalition Sisters volunteered their time to schedule people that registered for vaccine via the church’s COVID-19 webpage

  • 100% of the chapter’s Health Awareness Committee volunteered to support the effort

Supporting this effort was a real positive and personal experience for all the volunteers.  Responses from the registrants were priceless with most sharing their excitement and appreciation for the vaccine appointment. There was a great feeling of accomplishment and making a difference in people’s lives during this pandemic. NCBW100-PGC chapter served with much pride and excitement.

Thank You letter from Central Baptist Church, Pastor
